We are currently looking for a Vice President (6-8 years) to join the Special Ops team of a leading alternatives fund. The ideal candidate will have experience across special sits (equity & credit).
Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth fundamental analysis of companies and industries to identify potential investment opportunities in both equity and credit markets.
- Evaluate distressed assets, restructurings, and special situations to assess potential risks and rewards.
- Develop and execute investment strategies, including long and short positions, across different asset classes.
- Monitor portfolio positions and provide ongoing analysis and recommendations to optimise performance.
- Mentor and train junior team members, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and grow within the organisation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, hedge funds, or asset management, with a focus on special situations, distressed assets, and credit investments.
- Proven track record of successfully identifying and executing investment opportunities in both equity and credit markets.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, with the ability to perform complex financial modelling and valuation analysis.
- European language skills are advantageous.
