Job Title: Senior Actuarial Analyst
Location: NYC or New Jersey (Hybrid)
Summary: This position is with a leading global reinsurance and insurance firm looking to hire a Senior Actuarial Analyst to join their Reinsurance Actuarial Pricing Department. The preferred candidate possesses a proactive approach, entrepreneurial mindset, solid business understanding, and exceptional communication abilities.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate pricing for reinsurance treaties and collaborate with underwriting to enhance the teams Treaty Property portfolio.
- Provide peer review for pricing conducted by team members.
- Conduct profitability studies to facilitate actuarial sound planning and portfolio management, presenting findings to senior management.
- Perform trend analysis and studies on various lines of business, delivering insights to senior management.
- Collaborate with management to develop presentations and reports tailored to management, board, and strategic reporting requirements.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in property and casualty actuarial pricing.
- Preference for expertise in reinsurance or large account pricing.
- Pursuing credentials through the Casualty Actuarial Society with at lease 2 exams passed.
- Familiarity with catastrophe modeling outputs a plus.
- Knowledge of SQL, Python, and Excel a plus.
