My client a tier 1 Asset Management firm is seeking an Operations Associate VP to join their Hong Kong office. The firm operates across four key areas of business, including active quantitative equities, active fundamental equities, ETFs, and fixed income. The Operations Associate VP will provide daily operational support across the middle office in Hong Kong.
Position: AVP/Associate, Asset Management Operations
Department: Asset Management
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily operation support including RQFII Fund, RQFII Managed Account and others.
- Prepare daily trade order summary sheet, daily trade confirmation checking, daily update dividend corporate action and cash reconciliation.
- Process fund subscription and redemption application.
- Prepare Fund Net Asset Valuations, management fee calculation.
- Ensure AML compliance.
- Handle clients inquiries, ad hoc projects.
- Manage fund set up and closure of existing fund.
- Liaise with external parties including lawyers, auditors, tax advisors, fund directors or other financial professionals.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of work experience in related fields and industry.
- Major in business administration or related academic discipline is preferred but not a must.
- Strong analytical skills & quantitative capabilities.
- Strong desire to develop a career in the financial industry.
- Be a strong team player.
- Good quantitative capabilities (experience in financial modelling is an advantage).
- Proficient in Word, Powerpoint and Excel.
- Good command in written, oral Mandarin and English.
