A growing SEC registered investment advisor based in Manhattan is looking to grow its internal data warehouse. The international firm is redefining the revenue model of asset management by providing the potential for out performance at a fair price to every investor! The company is targeting an individual who could build out their internal risk-reporting infrastructure and be the gate-keeper of the data warehouse being built out.
This is a quantitative development position in which you would be expected to oversee firm wide data warehousing, integration, migration, ETL process and Business Intelligence. Specifically, the firm is targeting those with extensive Python experience as well as someone who is well versed at SQL or Azure in the cloud. The firm is essentially looking for an individual to come in and build out their risk platform.
In this position you will be required to apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations. The ideal candidate will be able to refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes. Data visualization experience with Tableau and/or PowerBI is preferred.
Qualifications for the position include having a strong comp-sci background, experience with development and debugging in Python, knowledge of High Availability and Disaster Recovery options for the SQL server. Excellent communication skills are required as this is a cross-functional role requiring interaction between many teams. Though, the position rolls up directly to the firms CRO offering high visibility to senior management.
