Fund Accountant Description:
A leading Private Credit firm is looking to bring on a Fund Accountant to their team in their Miami office. The Fund Accountant will play a critical role in the financial operations of the firms investment funds, ensuring accuracy, compliance and transparency.
Fund Accountant Primary responsibilities:
- Responsible for a set of funds that includes recording transactions, reconciling cash and positions daily
- Work in various bank accounts that includes cash movements between entities
- Preparing quarterly/annual financial statements
- Preparing capital call and distribution notices
- Maintaining and updating various schedules relating to the portfolio and fund performance metrics quarterly/annual
- Assisting in process improvements and implementations
- Preparing adhoc reports
- Preparing quarterly/annual regulatory filings
- Preparing capital account statements
- Responding to investor inquiries
- Assisting with the annual audits
- Must be proficient in excel
Fund Accountant Desired Skills & Experience:
- The candidate must have 2-4 years of public/private experience.
- BA/BS in Accounting/Finance
- CPA certification or progress towards CPA preferred.
- Must have experience with financial statements and working in an accounting software, FIS Investran a plus
- Public accounting or private equity/ debt background a plus
- Willing to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task
