As a Life Valuation Actuary, you will play a critical role in assessing the financial risks and liabilities associated with our life insurance products. You will be responsible for conducting actuarial valuations and financial reporting, utilizing your technical expertise and analytical skills to ensure accurate and reliable results. Responsibilities:
- Conduct actuarial valuations of life insurance products, including reserves, liabilities, and financial projections.
- Analyze data and perform complex calculations to determine appropriate pricing and risk assessment for life insurance policies.
- Collaborate with underwriting, finance, and product development teams to provide actuarial support and insights.
- Participate in the development and enhancement of actuarial models and methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Monitor and analyze emerging trends and developments in the life insurance industry, making recommendations for adjustments to pricing or risk management strategies as needed.
- Support the preparation of financial reports, including analysis and interpretation of results.
- Communicate complex actuarial concepts and findings to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Actuarial credentials (e.g., ASA, FSA, or equivalent) from a recognized actuarial association.
- X years of experience as an actuary in the life insurance industry.
- Strong knowledge of actuarial valuation methods, financial reporting standards, and risk assessment principles.
- Proficiency in actuarial software and programming languages (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, R, etc.).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
