Responsibilities
- Set up, configure, and manage servers, networks, and storage systems.
- Ensure that the server infrastructure is stable and performing at its best.
- Assist in the evaluation and standardization of server and storage hardware and software.
- Be exposed to gap analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and vendor evaluation.
- In the event that an issue is escalated from outsourced providers, provide 3rd level help for problem resolution.
- Assist with performance tweaking and capacity planning.
- Provide system solutions in collaboration with external and internal users.
- Contribute to the development of IT strategy and standards for application servers, storage, and cloud transition.
- Assist with the Disaster Recovery Plan.
- Enforce and carry out processes for issue and change management.
Requirements
- Degree holder in Information Technology or related disciplines.
- At least 2 years' experience in supporting Unix/Linux, Windows server OS and Storage.
- Familiar with system performance monitoring and recovery technique.
- Solid experience in network, server and system software products.
- Has experience in architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions on AWS platforms.
- AWS, Azure certifications are a plus.
- ITIL, CISA, CISM, CISSP or other cybersecurity certificate certification is also an added advantage.
- Communication skills: Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills and able to engage with cross function department and outsourcing vendors.
- Need to be proficient in Chinese and English Languages.
