A leading bulge bracket bank is looking to expand their Wholesale Credit Solutions organization within Credit Risk Management, spanning the Commercial Banking, Investment Bank and Asset Wealth Management businesses, and hire a Wholesale Credit Analytics Strategy Associate.
This role sits within a process strategy function that is focused on reshaping the end-to-end credit risk experience, while driving consistency, speed and efficiency. The Wholesale Credit Analytics team is a motivated, forward thinking team comprised of high-talent individuals with a singular focus on delivering innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
- Manage portions of workstreams focused on sourcing new or augmented datasets from internal or external sources; gather requirements, conduct supporting analysis, create execution plans and own delivery
- Conducting independent research and requirements gathering through interviews or facilitated working sessions. Synthesize stakeholder feedback into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Preparing decks and design materials to share with the line of business, team leadership, senior management, and executive leadership; including progress updates, executive summaries, proof-of-concept (POC) findings.
- Supports risk strategy development by conducting analysis on diverse data solutions from small scale to "big data". Deliver strategic presentations for both internal and external audiences.
- Research and apply an understanding of innovation in financial services and emerging technologies (e.g. data aggregators, machine learning)
- Establish and cultivate relationships with stakeholders across the organization, including technology, credit, product and project leads, to develop contacts on relevant subject matter.
- Develop and contribute to a product roadmap and prioritize key projects.
Qualifications/Requirements
- At least 4+ years in a strategy, consulting or transformation function with proven analytical skills. Experience in financial services or fintech is preferred.
- Experience leading projects involving any of the following: product enhancements, data management, applications integration, data warehousing or business intelligence is preferred.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills; including strong PowerPoint and Excel skills with experience developing materials for executive leadership strongly preferred
- An ability to work well in cross-functional teams, analyze problems, apply quantitative analytical approaches, and communicate effectively and confidently.
- Experience with SQL is a plus.
- Experience with distributed data/computing tools: Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, MySQL, etc. a plus.
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
