Our client, a leading global alternative asset management firm, are seeking a skilled developer to join their esteemed engineering team. The role encompasses business analysis responsibilities, requiring close collaboration with business users to gain domain knowledge across diverse business functions and a broad spectrum of asset classes.
To excel in this position, you should showcase expertise in developing server-side C# components and services, possess proficiency in database development (from data modelling to constructing views and stored procedures), and demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of systems architecture and integration considerations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and implement innovative solutions primarily using C# .NET 6.0 and SQL Server.
- Create appropriate automated tests.
- Provide support, troubleshoot, and maintain legacy systems written in older versions of the .NET Framework.
- Collaborate with fellow developers and stakeholders to comprehend project requirements.
- Take ownership of tasks and ensure timely delivery of solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and enforce adherence to coding best practices.
Role Requirements:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in software development, with a focus on C# and SQL Server.
- Proficiency in writing unit tests using popular testing and mocking frameworks.
- Experience with web services.
- Familiarity with inter-process communications, such as message queuing, Web API, RPC.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Configuration of CI/CD pipelines.
Desirable Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in computing, STEM, or a relevant business discipline.
- Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes for on-premises application deployment.
- Familiarity with Jira, TeamCity, Octopus, Git, Nuget (package generation).
- Background in finance.
- Exposure to Angular, Blazor, or similar web UI frameworks.
