I am working with a leading management consulting firm located in Chicago, who is seeking a motivated and versatile individual to join the team as an Associate/Sr. Associate. With a strong reputation for delivering strategic solutions in the areas of Restructuring, Private Equity consulting, and M&A integration for PE clients, they are dedicated to helping clients navigate complex challenges and maximize value.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior consultants and project teams to execute engagements in the areas of restructuring, private equity consulting, and M&A post-integration.
- Conduct in-depth analyses of financial statements, operational processes, and market trends to identify opportunities for performance improvement and value creation.
- Develop and maintain detailed financial models to assess valuation, cash flow projections, and potential financial impacts of various scenarios.
- Analyze financial data to provide insights into client situations and support decision-making processes.
- Identify operational inefficiencies, process gaps, and potential risks within client organizations.
- Assist in developing recommendations and action plans to streamline operations, enhance productivity, and drive sustainable growth.
- Support post-merger integration activities, including process harmonization, cultural alignment, and change management.
- Work directly with clients to understand their business objectives, challenges, and requirements.
- Communicate findings, insights, and recommendations effectively to clients and internal team members.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes impacting restructuring, private equity, and M&A landscapes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Legal, Finance, and Operations, to ensure comprehensive solutions and successful project outcomes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
- 3-7 years of experience in management consulting, private equity, investment banking, or related fields with exposure to restructuring, private equity, or M&A.
- Strong financial modeling, quantitative analysis, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools, financial software, and MS Office suite.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while maintaining high attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in teams and establish positive working relationships.
- Flexibility to travel as needed to client sites and other company locations.
