The Role
- Financial analysis of a wide range of real estate transactions, including modelling of real estate cash flows, financing assumptions, IRRs, output sensitivities etc., as well as research to support key underwriting assumptions
- Analysis and interpretation of real estate, economic and public company data, including financial statements, to conduct valuation and operational benchmarking
- Assistance in deal execution including managing internal workstreams, liaising with external brokers, liaising with JV partners, etc.
- Preparation of documents for internal and external purposes, including assembly of investment committee memos and presentations to JV partners
- Ability to work well within a small, relatively flat team
The Person
- Approximately 3-7 years of experience or less within a real estate investment fund, investment bank or similar role (including relevant internship experience)
- Educated to degree level at a minimum from a leading university
- Demonstrated passion for real estate and all facets of the business including investments, development, and operations
- Robust analytical and technical / financial modelling skills, as demonstrated either through work experience or academics (strong academics an advantage)
- Proven experience in investment / financial analysis and transaction support, preferably within commercial real estate, an advantage
- Energetic, self-motivated and a team-oriented individual who thrives on a challenge in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Professional and positive attitude, diligent
- Willingness to work across time zones and geographies in Europe from time to time, as required
- Experience in presentation preparation and research
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (excel, word, powerpoint)
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Any European languages are beneficial
