A leading international energy business is seeking a Trading Analyst to support their Energy trading desk in Japan. In this role, you will have the chance to be involved in interesting partnerships and collaboration with experts in the field and be directly exposed to the trading on exchanges and with customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the senior structurer and trader of the team to support trading activities
- Develop the proprietary outlook on Japan's power price
- Understand and make sense of electricity transactions in the market
- Set up trading capability with counterparties across Japan
- Develop, set up and execute risk management solutions for end-users/customers
- Manage trading operations and be able to contribute with inputs on existing and new deals
The Ideal Candidate
- Fluent in English and Japanese to deal with stakeholders in the Japan markets
- At least 2 years of experience in the commodity trading or utility industry
- Strong quantitative skills with the ability to analyse complex data
- Team player with ability to excel independently and in a team
