We are working with a leading life insurance company, who is looking to add Underwriting Manager to their Life Underwriting team. This individual will be responsible for overseeing and managing a team of underwriters, providing leadership and guidance to ensure accurate risk assessment and adherence to company policies.
What you will be doingโฆ
- Collaborate with senior management to establish underwriting guidelines, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular reviews of underwriting decisions, maintaining high-quality standards and mitigating risks.
- Mentor employees to reach operational goals and developmental plans; providing training and educational opportunities for growth
- Conduct regular reviews of underwriting decisions, maintaining high-quality standards and mitigating risks.
- Leading a team to motivate and mentor associates to foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.
What you will need to be successfulโฆ
- Received or made significant progress towards LOMA, FLMI, FALU, CLU
- Approval authority up to $2 Million
- Life Insurance Underwriting experience
- Experience in a underwriting managerial position
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to solve problems/analyze/reconcile results
