Responsibilities:
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential areas of vulnerability and assess the effectiveness of existing controls.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to understand business processes and risks, ensuring controls are tailored to specific needs.
- Develop and design comprehensive control frameworks and policies that align with the organization's objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Establish control procedures, documentation, and guidelines for effective control implementation.
- Work closely with internal teams and external auditors to ensure control framework compliance.
- Perform periodic testing and evaluation of controls to ensure compliance with established procedures.
- Identify control gaps, deficiencies, and potential areas of non-compliance and propose corrective actions.
- Monitor changes in regulations and industry best practices to update internal controls accordingly.
- Conduct training sessions for employees to promote awareness of internal controls and their importance in maintaining the integrity of the organization.
- Prepare detailed reports on the status of internal controls, including identified issues, corrective actions, and progress updates.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in internal controls, internal audit, risk management, or a similar function in the financial services industry
- Solid understanding of internal control principles, risk management methodologies, and industry best practices.
- Strong knowledge of relevant regulations and standards
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of accountability and ownership for assigned tasks.
