Role: Head Of Compliance
Reporting to: Chief Risk Officer
Location: Dublin, Ireland
We have been engaged by an Irish financial services company, to find a new Head of Compliance to lead their compliance team.
The Role
- Maintain compliance oversight on regulatory and business change/strategy, including the Consumer Protection Code and Code of Conduct on Mortgage Arrears
- Member of the senior management team
- Oversee all aspects of corporate governance, ensuring it is documented and that best practice is followed
- Monitoring the regulated activity to ensure regulatory obligations are met
- Preparing and presenting reports to the Board of Directors
- Act as the primary contact for the Central Bank of Ireland
- Act as the MLRO duties and have overall responsibility for the AML function
- Responsibility and management of the company's data protection regime and GDPR. Maintain regulatory oversight of the company website, customer documents and marketing
- Management of the required education and regulatory training requirements of the firm
The Candidate
- 7+ years of compliance experience in a retail credit/credit servicing firm or retail banking environment
- Experience in both the MLRO and data protection officer roles
- A legal or compliance qualification e.g., ACOI
- Extensive CPC knowledge, CCMA & SME knowledge preferred.
- Well proven record in dealing with Central Bank of Ireland queries
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills and influencing skills
- Strong ethical standards and an ability to influence decision makers and forge effective professional relationships at all levels of the business and other stakeholders
- Leadership skills with the ability to recruit, develop and lead a team
