As the Head of Capital Formation, you will play a critical role in driving our fundraising efforts and managing investor relationships. You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive capital formation strategy to attract high-quality institutional and individual investors, expand their investor base, and secure funding for our portfolio companies. Additionally, you will serve as a trusted advisor to our existing investors, ensuring strong communication, reporting, and transparency. They are looking for someone who has fundraising experience and a proven track record of raising in capital.
Director of Capital Formation Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive capital formation strategies to attract investments from institutional investors, family offices, high-net-worth individuals, and other funding sources.
- Identify and cultivate potential investors, building and maintaining strong relationships to ensure ongoing support and collaboration.
- Collaborate with the investment team to create compelling investment narratives and materials that resonate with potential investors.
- Lead fundraising efforts, including preparing pitch materials, presentations, and due diligence documentation.
- Stay informed about market trends, investor sentiment, and industry developments to adjust strategies as needed.
- Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to expand the firm's visibility within the investment community.
- Work closely with the legal and compliance teams to ensure all fundraising activities adhere to regulatory requirements.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members involved in capital formation activities.
Director of Capital Formation Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Proven track record of successfully raising capital for venture capital funds, private equity, or similar investment vehicles.
- Extensive network of contacts within the investor community, including institutional investors, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals.
- Strong understanding of investment structures, fundraising processes, and investor relations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex investment concepts clearly and convincingly.
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to drive initiatives to completion.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
