Role: EMEA Compliance Testing Officer
Location: Amsterdam
Salary: Competitive and Candidate Dependent
Reporting To: Regional Head of Testing, Zurich
We are currently representing a multinational Corporate Bank, situated in Amsterdam. The role itself comes with plenty of responsibility - you will be assisting the regional head situated in Zurich, in undertaking a strategic role of overseeing the compliance testing and controls framework across Europe.
The Candidate
* 5+ years' experience of working in a large international bank, ideally in the area related to assessing and/or testing the design and operating effectiveness of Ccompliance frameworks
* Excellent knowledge of the financial markets rules and regulations on compliance and AFC topics, with a focus on the EU laws
* Understanding of compliance and financial crime risks and internal controls
* Outstanding knowledge of banking/financial markets business environment and products
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate across all three lines of defence and to describe complex cases
* Fluent in English, and any other language is a bonus
The Role
* Support the regional head in ensuring the EMEA team delivers against the expectations, to the deadlines agreed and the quality standards defined under the global compliance testing and assurance team
* Lead various projects across the EMEA region to ensure it remains aligned to the global regulatory requirements
* Support continuous enhancement of the testing programme
* Support the creation of the multi-year testing plan for the EMEA region that covers the right ccompliance and AFC risks and is in line with the global methodology
* Produce high quality management information (MI) for the relevant stakeholders and committees
* Liaise with the wider compliance and AFC organisation
* Represent compliance testing and assurance regional head at relevant business, compliance and AFC governance forums
