Position Overview: As a Corporate Banking Associate/VP focused on financial institutions, you will play a pivotal role in this company's financial institutions group, contributing to the achievement of their business strategies and objectives. Your role will involve managing relationships, executing transactions, and delivering exceptional financial solutions to their diverse clientele, which includes investment trusts, private equity funds, insurance companies, and more.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the success of the financial institutions group in Europe.
Serve as a key member of deal teams, managing a portfolio that includes revolvers, term loans, fixed rate loans, and subscription finance facilities.
Conduct credit analysis for capital markets/trading lines, including FX forwards/options/swaps, interest rate swaps, and equity forwards/swaps.
Analyze term sheets and due diligence materials, preparing credit presentations and recommendations for senior management and credit committees.
Negotiate transaction documentation with clients and other financial institutions, ensuring smooth execution of deals.
Proactively monitor the assigned portfolio, identifying changes in credit quality and opportunities for growth.
Engage in client interactions, participate in due diligence meetings, and attend industry conferences.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in corporate banking, with a focus on financial institutions preferred.
Strong understanding of market sectors such as insurance, investment trusts, and private equity funds.
Proficiency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Bachelor's degree (2:1 or higher); MBA/CFA preferred but not required.
Demonstrated analytical thinking, efficiency, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Exceptional teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
Strong leadership potential, particularly at the Associate Director level.
