Role: Compliance Officer
Reporting to: Compliance Manager
Location: Luxembourg
We have been engaged by a leading private equity and real estate fund administrator with the hire of a Compliance Officer for their Luxembourg entity. This role will be a member of the Legal and Compliance team and will report to the Compliance Manager. With 9 offices globally and nearly 200 billion in assets under their administration this is an exciting and ambitious company to take your next step in.
The Role:
- Ongoing reviews of the internal policies and procedures
- Performing due diligences on clients, their service providers and fund structures during the onboarding phase and on an ongoing basis
- Preparing on-site visits and supporting with the drafting of due diligence reports
- Support on AML/CFT checks on assets
- Support with RC mandates for the investment funds
- Participate in the ongoing compliance monitoring
- Contribute to the ongoing maintenance of a regulatory watch and being ahead of upcoming regulation
- Take ownership for the creation and ongoing maintenance of a centralised register of service providers
- Work closely with and support colleagues on the production and provision of information for internal and external audit, third parties and regulatory enquiries
The Candidate
- Degree level or higher education with relevant financial services / regulatory experience in a Compliance environment. A compliance/AML certification would be an asset.
- Minimum 2 years Compliance or related Risk and control experience. Experience in the Luxembourg fund service sector is an asset
- Understanding and knowledge of current industry legislation, regulation and working practices particularly in respect to regulatory matters
- Strong communication skills, both written and spoken
- Ability to write and analyse reports, identify failings
- Ability to operate effectively in a multi-disciplinary team and independently deliver high quality work
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to liaise and work with colleagues across various jurisdictions and in a diverse work environment
