Our client is a leading energy business, looking to bring onboard a Senior Business Development manager for their growing business. The position will play a pivotal role in developing the power importation of renewables in the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify new business opportunities and follow-up with leads related to power importation projects
- Responsible for business intelligence (e.g., project sponsors, project developers, industry contacts, consultants, and government agencies etc) and overview of the market, regulatory and political landscape
- Develop and drive CSR activities
- Support on Financial Model's assumptions and review
- Support and prepare submission of proposals and bids for any Tender(s), License(s) and Permit(s)
- Support contract negotiation, execution, and ongoing contract management, including Power Purchase Agreements and EPC contract negotiations
- Coordinate and manage the schedule and costs of efforts from entire spectrum of development from technical to financing, legal, authority approvals and retail etc
The Ideal Candidate
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in Business Development/ Commercial related roles, preferably in the energy/ renewables sector
- Good understanding of regulatory framework, as well as the risks and value drivers
- Demonstrated ability in successfully working with cross-functional teams including technical groups, accounting functions, and project development
- Effective in communication and have a good understanding in Power Purchase Agreements
- Established network of contacts in the renewable energy sector
