Title: Associate Director, Senior Systems Engineer (Cloud)

My client is an institutional investment firm in NYC looking for a new Associate Director of Systems specifically focused on Azure and Windows OS. The right candidate will be senior in their career and seeking an individual contributor position. This role is hybrid in NYC with three days a week required in office.

Responsibilities:
Manage tasks for application projects from start to finish, following the best practices and guidelines.
Help with important business applications like trading platforms and financial systems.
Work with the Infrastructure team to plan moving our services to the cloud in Azure and AWS.
Create and maintain our cloud-based infrastructure.
Keep our documentation up-to-date and improve it as needed.
Assist the help desk in solving complex issues.
Monitor infrastructure systems and furnish statistical reports on their health and operational status, including system capacity utilization.
Diagnose issues and take corrective actions within the area of Subject Matter Expertise.
Assist in capacity planning and performance monitoring to ensure that Infrastructure systems meet the business's requirements.
Contribute to the day-to-day management of the server environment.

Requirements:
7-10 years of experience working within a trading environment in a similar role
Deep Azure technical expertise
Azure DevOps, Azure Networking, Office 365, Azure AD, and Window Servers skills
Advanced PowerShell scripting and working with code repositories and CI/CD pipelines
Day to Day management of monitoring platform and tailoring advance alerting & reports
Knowledge of Citrix and Netscalers, Azure cloud VPX a plus.
Python and other scripting skill sets
Must be willing to work weekends and evenings and be on call as required; the responsibilities are for a 7x24 IT operation.
Root cause analysis experience is required
Working knowledge of container management (Docker or Kubernetes)
