Our client, a consulting firm specializing in actuarial, underwriting, and product development services, is searching for a Statistical Reporting Manager to join their dynamic team. They work with insurance carriers, reinsurers, and other stakeholders to optimize operations, improve profitability, and navigate regulatory requirements. Known for their deep industry knowledge and data-driven insights, they offer customized solutions across life, health, and property & casualty insurance markets.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the statistical reporting team.
- Oversee data collection and analysis for insurance products.
- Develop and maintain reporting systems (SQL, Excel, Access).
- Ensure data accuracy in reports.
- Explain technical info to non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate to meet data needs.
- Stay updated with industry trends.
- Encourage a flexible and adaptive work environment.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in statistical reporting, ideally within the Workers Compensation sector.
- Significant work history in the insurance industry.
- Proven managerial experience with a track record of leading successful teams.
- Strong technical skills in SQL, Excel, and Access, with the ability to query and manipulate data effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
- Flexible and open to new challenges, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.
- Experience with additional data analysis tools and software.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance in the insurance industry.
- 5 years of Workers Compensation experience
- 2 years of managerial experience
