Key Responsibilities:
- Application Health & Robustness: Monitor and improve the health and robustness of applications, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Infrastructure Management: Work with lower-level infrastructure, including gear, network, and operating systems, to maintain and enhance system reliability.
- Operational Efficiency: Identify and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Incident Management: Specialize in handling escalations and resolving incidents promptly to minimize impact on operations.
- Collaboration: Engage with other engineers and product teams to ensure seamless integration and flow of information.
- Code Review & Development: Review and write code, primarily using Go for backend and TypeScript for frontend, with some capability in Angular.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience as a Senior SRE or in a similar role, with a focus on on-premise environments.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in backend languages such as Go, Java, and Python. Frontend experience with Angular is a plus.
- Problem-Solving: Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in a timely manner.
- Quality Focus: Emphasis on maintaining high-quality standards in all aspects of work.
- Adaptability: Ability to work with different technology stacks and adapt to new challenges.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
