My client is leading global financial services firm and as part of their expansion in China, we are looking for a skilled and driven candidate to serve as the inaugural Security Engineer in Shanghai, becoming an integral member of the global Security Team. In this Lead Engineer role, you will collaborate closely with leadership to develop and oversee secure technologies, ensuring that technical standards, requirements, and architectures are uniformly implemented throughout China.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and oversee security solutions
- Conduct research and create solutions addressing emerging security trends
- Clearly convey new solutions to relevant stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with relevant local laws and regulations regarding security.
- Work independently while effectively collaborating with team members remotely.
- Engage with regulators during security audits and inspections
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related discipline; or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in Mandarin and able to articulate business and technical concepts in English, with excellent written and verbal interpersonal communication skills.
- Over 10 years of professional experience in the industry.
- Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, or other scripting languages.
- Experience in implementing and configuring security tools.
- Skilled in reviewing architectural designs and specifying security requirements.
